About us
PAICS is short for Philosophy of Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Science, a research lab within the Evolutionary and Adaptive Systems research group in the School of Informatics at the University of Sussex, Brighton, UK. PAICS is affiliated with COGS, the Centre for Research in Cognitive Science, and is headed by Ron Chrisley.
Each week, after a lab meeting, the members of PAICS attend the E-Intentionality research-in-progress seminars, to which visitors are warmly invited. We also sometimes run CogPhi, a reading group which is open to postgraduates and faculty from all disciplines.
